Welcoming Aaron Rogers to the SES Team: A conversation with our new Business Development Specialist

We’re delighted to welcome Aaron Rogers as our new business development specialist to the Grimsby team.

As Aaron joins SES, he brings with him a wealth of experience, a customer-first approach, and a passion for innovation to our team.

In our latest blog post, Aaron takes time out of his busy schedule to give an insight into his professional journey, his vision for SES, and what excites him most about this new chapter.

Can you tell us a little about your early career?

I’ve always had a passion for connecting with people and understanding their needs. I started my career in a call centre, where I learned to think on my feet and developed a strong sense of empathy—qualities that have been invaluable as I’ve progressed in my career.

Moving into Business-to-Business sales was a natural step for me, as it allowed me to not only work with businesses but also to dig deeper into what they need to thrive. I take pride in finding solutions that truly work for clients and building strong, lasting relationships along the way.

What are some key milestones or achievements you’re particularly proud of in your career?

One of the key milestones in my career was making the leap from phone-based sales to field sales. It was a challenge, but one I embraced fully. Over the years, I’ve built relationships with a wide range of businesses and have maintained those connections by focusing on delivering real value and understanding what matters most to each client.

Why did you want to move into the tool hire industry?

After nearly a decade in the card payment industry, I was ready for a fresh challenge, and SES feels like the perfect fit. I’m particularly excited about stepping into a new industry and working with companies in the renewables sector. Knowing that my work can contribute to a greener future is something that I’m really passionate about.

The team at SES has been incredibly welcoming, and I can already tell that this is an organisation where I’ll be able to grow and make a real impact.

What are your top priorities for your first few months at SES?

Starting any new role comes with its own challenges, but I’m ready to dive in. The most important thing is to get to know our current customers and get a true understanding of what they need and if there’s anything else that I can do to help.

The SES team works closely with CATCH and other local businesses, and it’s important that I continue to build on these relationships. The first couple of months will be spent out and about meeting new people, finding out about their upcoming projects and seeing if there’s a way that we can help them.

What are you most looking forward to accomplishing at SES?

I’m focused on collaborating with partners and continuing to grow relationships with organisations within the area. SES has already invested heavily in the area and have collaborated on some great projects. I’m excited to build on this over the coming months.

How do you envision contributing to SES’s growth and success in the future?

For me, sales is all about understanding the bigger picture and working out how we can best fit into that for each client. My approach has always been to truly get to know a business and then find the solutions that will work best for them. I’m looking forward to bringing that mindset to SES and helping the company continue to grow and succeed.
